The package includes assistance in many areas, each customized based on a student’s individual needs and objectives. Our services include:

  • Setting personal goals
  • Developing a professional resume
  • Identifying campus preferences
  • Detailing stretch, probable and safety choices
  • Developing a standardized testing timeline

  • Preparing for admission interviews

How Does It Work?

College Coaching Services guides students and their families through every step of the college admissions process in order to identify the colleges (or graduate school programs) that are the best academic and social fit. We then work with each student to help him or her portray the most comprehensive representation of who they are to the admissions committees of their chosen colleges.

Where Are You Located?

College Coaching Services is headquartered in Southern California with offices in Irvine and Santa Barbara, and we utilize a blended learning model, combining in-person and virtual meeting tools, enabling us to assist students from across the country and around the world. All curriculum and meetings are individualized to meet each student’s unique needs.

When Should Students Begin the College Preparation Process?

We begin preparing students for the college application process in as early as the 9th grade, and work with them throughout their high school years. It is ideal to begin the process early on, to ensure students effectively meet or exceed university recommendations and requirements. We also work with transfer students and graduate students to assist them in achieving their college goals.

Why Do We Need an Independent Educational Consultant?

An independent counselor supplements your high school counselor’s efforts by providing additional personalized guidance throughout the college admissions process. This may include working with you to develop a balanced list of universities, helping create your activity list, preparing for interviews and college visits, explaining the admissions process, and helping with brainstorming and editing components of the application. An independent counselor will not contact an admissions office on behalf of the student, nor can an independent counselor “get” a student admitted. Be wary of anyone who promises to get your student into an Ivy League university – no one can guarantee admission and this premise violates the ethics of the profession.
